The Municipality of Avellino is a government entity which represents the interests of the community and aligns them with those sanctioned by the laws of the Republic, which directly dictates its functions.
The Municipality represents the entire community of Avellino, which it serves by promoting a balanced development and civil, social and economical progress. To meet these objectives, the Municipality ensures necessary services and public works, and guarantees the participation of citizens (individually and as groups) to the choices and the objectives of the political and administrative governing of the community.
The Municipality acts upon any socio-economic imbalances that may exist within its territory between citizens and groups, and in urban and historical centres, rural districts and suburbs, achieving a balance between city centres and rural areas through the equal distribution of public works, structures and services.
Within the MOSE Project, the Municipality of Avellino is the Promoter of the Project. The Municipality shared its proposed project and presented it to the Leonardo Da Vinci II Program in order to meet its perceived needs and to express their interest in the application of new models that could improve the professional training of individuals in the third Sector.
